Commentary
While getting protein from a meat or nut source is preferred, sometimes you want something different or you don’t have those items, but you do have protein powder on-hand. This shake will satisfy your protein needs as well as manage your sweet tooth.
I’m using a Ninja Blender which does a great job of pulverizing ice, but if you have a weaker blender or older blender, you may consider small ice cubes, pre-crushed ice from refrigerator, or simply allowing your blender to blender a few minutes longer.
This recipe will yield about 48-52 fluid ounces. The longer you blend, the more air will be incorporated and the xantham gum in the protein powder will fluff more.

This shake will take six or seven minutes to make, and yield 247 calories (without Cookie garnish), 18g carbohydrates, 8g of sugar, 5g of fat, and 33g of protein. In comparison, a Large Vanilla Shake at McDonalds will be 820 calories and it is almost guaranteed that it won’t be nearly 50 fluid ounces.
