Pico De Gallo

Commentary

Pico De Gallo varies from place to place, person to person. It can be spicy or it can be mild. If you want spicy, add diced, fresh jalapeños or another pepper to this recipe. This recipe is designed to be mild so my wife will enjoy it.

For this meal, I picked up all of my produce from Kroger. If you find yourself at a farmer’s market, you’ll enhance the flavor on these items significantly. If you grow your own, get me your number.

This recipe should only take you 5-10 minutes to prepare and will be ready to eat immediately.

Recipe
  • 1 ea — Roma tomato, diced
  • 1/4 ea — White onion, medium, diced
  • 4 sprigs — Fresh cilantro, bare stems removed, minced
  • 1/4 Tsp — Ground black pepper
  • 1/4 Tsp — Garlic powder
  • 1/4 Tsp — Sea Salt (or whatever salt you prefer)
  • 1/2 Tsp — Lime juice (fresh or bottled)

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Check for taste and adjust to your liking. A little salt goes along way, so don’t over salt.
  3. Serve, and enjoy!
